Well, the NEC ND-1300A firmware hack 1f05 is flashed and tested with 5 DVD-R and works properly...
The 1x Princo White Tops I got can still be burnt at 2x, as before - but I had a strange error message)(without effect) once with the old version that did not appear anymore...

Posted by ccc at August 21, 2003 11:50 AMHi all,
i'm just wondering why it is not possible to flash this NEC 1300A when connected as primary master!
Could anyone tell me the reason! Or is there another flashtool which is able to flash it on pri master ????
Thx 4 your answering ...

Posted by Judge at August 24, 2003 04:23 PMHi,
i just wanted to say THANK YOU A LOT for this.
I bought a NEC 1300A yesterday with some DVD+R and found out they're not suitable for my backups, went along and bought noname DVD-Rs, but my NEC wasn't able to burn em even with 1.07. So i went along and bought another package of 25 DVD-Rs from another company. Didnt work as well. Shops already closed and we went kinda mad.
The 105v11 from your site saved our day. Everything works fine now with 2x on those DVD-Rs. Kinda unbelievable those aren't implemented by the original firmware if you can manage a great job like you did.
Best regards
pierce
Am I crazy? Any time I put my DVD-R media in the drive it changes itself to a CD in the listing...
AND, I can't even PLAY DVDs, which I thought I'd certainly be able to do--especially after I set it to US Region 1.
I'm crazy, right?

Posted by tonyk at November 20, 2003 08:21 PMI'm having kind of similar problems as described above. I bought a NEC DVD_RW ND-1300A with some DVD+R RW a box of 50 Nashua DVD-R 4.7GB
Burning DVD+R RW I did not encounter any problem.
When I tried to burn a Nashua DVD-R with several software like Nero, DVD Decrypter I have the following error:
Cannot write medium - incompatible format
When Cancel I got:
Failed to reserve track
Do you have any idea why is this occurring?
I thought DVD_RW ND-1300A was compatible for both DVD+R and -R
Thanks in advance
Regards,
Rodrigo

Posted by Rodrigo at January 5, 2004 09:44 PMthe problem i have now is that
i'm running the nec 1300a firmware 1.05f succesfully. Now i bought some media that arent supported by the 105f firmware.
So my idea was to upgrade it to a newer hacked firmware. Now the problem is that i can't upgrade because i have not proper firmware installed atm (the hacked one on my nec1300a), anyone can tell me how to upgrade or how to downgrade the 105f so that i can upgrade it at the end to 1.06, 1.07 . 1.08 ..
greets
