Wow - just found that Herrie got another -experimental- version online since yesterday at NEC DVD_RW ND-1300A Firmware 105v8.
Changes:
Changed writing strategies for many media, which should increase writing quality a lot!
Added support for the following media:
BEALL G00001
SMMR01
GRUPO CONDOR
4M SYS 202C1
Plasmon-Gen
GSC001 2x and 4x with various media codes
REC001
BEALL_ G00002
AN30
TAROKO-X2
Auvistar
ACER MEDIA
LONGTEN 001
So if you got troubles, why not give it a try? I will wait for the next stable version...

So is the new firmware good or bad? I thought I read on the Internet that it was causing big problems. I'm actually just trying to find a good list of -r media that will work. I was told that it can only accept Fuji, Maxell, TDK and Sony...or any +R/RW disk.
What is the latest and greatest info you have?
