NEC ND 1300A firmware hack

Lots of new media support for NEC ND-1300A after F/W hack!

A dude called "Herrie" hacked the ND-1300A firmware for some days and added a hell lot of new DVD medias to be written on... of course everything unsupported - don't try that at home kids...

List of added media codes:
6 times space (2x tested & verified)
6 times space (4x tested & verified)
Auvistar (2x tested & verified)
BeAll G00001 (2x tested & verified)
CMC MAG.AF01 (4x tested & verified)
DDD DVDR (2x tested & verified)
EuroDig-Disc (2x tested & verified)
GSC001 (2x tested & verified)
LEADDATA01 (4x tested & verified)
LONGTEN TECH (4x tested & verified)
MAMEG02 (2x experimental)
NANYA (2x)
PRINCO (4x tested & verified) (Princo White Tops 1-4x, BulkPaq 1-4x)
PRODISCG01 (2x tested & verified)
SHT 001 (2x experimental)
SKC Co Ltd. (2x)
UTJG01001 (2x tested & verified)

In general that means that low-cost Princo-Medias (we buy 100 @ 115 EUR) should be burnable at 4 x speed ! that rocks! (15 mins)

I'm rushing out to buy an NEC-writer...

PS: there's a firmware version that resets the number of DVD-Region changes you can make every time your pc is rebooted! ;-) let's import some RC1-DVDs

Serious flashing errors when installing/flashing the NEC ND-1300a with firmware version 1.07.

OS is Win XP Pro.

When flashing, the flashing error box appears; the ND-1300a lights go on and the same thing happens each time I try to flash the thing.

does anyone have a suggestion? Pleeeeeese!

Hi all,
Fresh meat Furby here...
Got a NEC1300a running on win xp using nero 6.

I have problems copying on certain type of disks been advised to get update firmware any suggestions? This is also only running on max x2 on x4 disks. Any software i require to speed this up?

Any ideas appreciated.

Hello,
I 've a question over a nec 1300a dvd +/- writer.
When i burn a dvd-r i couldn't play the drive on my finlux 513 dvdplayer.
Also when i tried a TDK or Philips medium, it doesn't work.
My Finlux supports a dvd-r format, (finlux told me, and the region is free.
I burnd on speed 1x with nero 6.0 and also pinnacle studio 8
But it doesn't work, could somebody help me.
