Although I got my 64MB-Memorystick DUO today finally, I decided to use OGG for playback, because it should aprox 200% of space utilization against MP3 with similar results... P800 Ogg Vorbis Player is available in a V0.7 beta and works fine even with closed keypad... and it's free (open-source)...
Encoding was a bit fancy, because there are commericial tools available ofcourse, but a free MP3-to-Ogg converter in form of the FileWriter-Plugin for WinAmp by Jasper. This is wonderful, because I can use my musicplaying-tool now for converting some stuff (whatever format) to ogg and need no additional tools (or fees)...

Wow - Maxtor Ships 300-Gbyte HD ... this is a new maxi-drive with 5400 rpm, ideal for your online-backup, mp3-storage or whatever consumes hell lot of space like that...

SomeOne has ported a Macromedia Flash player for the P800 based on GPL Flash library and Flash Plugin by Olivier Debon and Fabrice Bellard. It's called FlashPlay and can be downloaded as freeware at my-symbian.com
Wow - this Backpak Helicopter looks weird... If you check out the linked movie you can see that dude lift up in the air for aprox. 3 sec... What happens afterwards? how does it stabilize??? Additional infos appreciated... (like the price)...

Cool! The Register tells about Researchers that built a proof-of-concept gadget to see through walls - using low-frequency radar they can actually plot sort of a high-level location information about objects behind up to 25 cm walls...
So sorry, no "look-through-your-clothes" glasses available - still dreaming....

A dude called "Herrie" hacked the ND-1300A firmware for some days and added a hell lot of new DVD medias to be written on... of course everything unsupported - don't try that at home kids...

With the
Symbian OS 7 UIQ SDK for Sony Ericsson P800 it should be quite easy to create a photo-blog-tool for my p800.. we'll see what the next days might bring...

finally I got my Sony Ericsson - P800. hot iron
.. still missing the stereo headset, but I am using the HBH-60 until I receive that stereo thing...
What shall I say, amazing. Using a headset (bluetooth or wired) makes working with the phone possbile even during the calls (calendar-lookup is the general killer-ap for this toy while phoning...) of course not to talk about the picture-it mania for adhoc pictures (not only for MMS sending, more like Lomographin-kult... the builtin cam is not very much different to it :-)
