finally I got myself the new Canon SD550 7.1MP yesterday (called Ixus 750 in europe)

What an evolution compared to my last Canon cam (SD-40) ! ... lightning fast operating system - 60 FPS movies at 640×480 ... shocking fast on/off switching and shooting... 2 pics per second - as long as my SD 2 GB 133x performance-speed SD memory will reach :-)

tons of cool photo and colour effects that let you forget time when playing with them... definately a perfect power gadget birthday present...

This cam was made for my next years of digital photographing...

Not exactly a "tech" game, but via another blog comment I found this very nice blog commenting on all types of games, including Illuminati - which game rules just caught me

*The basic rules of the game are to take over the world. *

... You start with a single Illuminati card representing your own secret conspiracy.

During the game, you take over other Groups (represented by other cards).

These Groups are added to your Power Structure and do your bidding – unless a foe takes them from you. You may win either by controlling enough Groups, or by fulfilling the special goal of your own Illumnati.

After the movie 23 (which by the way I think I'm going to put into my DVD right now...) and Dan Browns great books Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons this seems to be a most trendy game...

So if you enjoyed the conspirary movies/books then I think this game should be the perfect present. I found one Wikipedia article(game) but no place to buy it yet...

Apple Introduces iPod nano to replace the previous top-seller iPod Mini... altough the iPod mini sales were still booming, Apple ramped down the production while in the same time boosting the Ipod Nano production to feed the previous "Mini" demand.

Like the regular iPod, the iPod nano includes a backlit color screen (with a diagonal measurement of 1.5 inches, or 3.8 cm), Apple's Click Wheel navigator, and the same dock connector that supports USB 1.1 and 2.0, but, surprisingly, not FireWire.

The iPod nano includes a few features new to the iPod line.

  • World Clock displays multiple time zones (with clock faces appearing white for daytime hours and black nighttime hours).
  • A Screen Lock capability enables you to assign a security code to unlock the iPod nano's controls (turning the Click Wheel into a little combination lock), while Stopwatch is useful for keeping track of your time when exercising.
